Poetry Express

Last week, we conducted the class round of the Poetry Express Competition. The range of poetry presented was diverse and it was clear that students had put a lot of thought into the selection of their poems. It takes perseverance to memorise and rehearse a poem and it takes courage to recite it in front of an audience. By embracing this challenge, the students nudged themselves a little further up the learning ladder of Resilience. Congratulations to Olivia Hayward and Amelie Korber who will be representing Year 5 in the Poetry Express Finals next Friday. A special mention goes to the following students whose recitations were highly commended:  Lily Hamill, Ben McGilvray, Liberty Pollard, Gus Turner and Harrison White.
